Inserting .mid file into Sharepoint web page 1

I am new to MS Sharepoint & had no trouble creating a web page, but for some reason I cannot get the .mid file to play in the background. The file has been "formatted" into the page (via background sound under the general tab & is uploaded to my files for a personal web page on Comcast, but no sound plays. Can anyone offer me a solution to fix this?

Can any application play this original .mid file?

Is the sound being muted?
