Good morning,
I am scanning a volume of documents and saving them as the bar-code number on the face of each page i.e. '123.tif'.
Via a form in Access, I then need to enter this barcode number into a textbox and locate that 'tif' file and insert it as a hyperlink to the current record.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks
Thom

What kind of barcodes are they i.e. UPC, I-2of5, Code 39, Code93, SCC-14, EAN etc.
If they can be Code39. I have a Code39 True Type font I created that would save you vast amount of time.
So your Access report would just print the barcode like any other font.
We are using this on Invoice, PO, for Shelf bins, you name it.
Second a Hyperlink is somewhere on the Internet or Intranet
Are these images gotten from there?

DougP
dposton@universal1.com

Ask me how Bar-codes can help you be more productive.

I'm assuming you already have a table with a BarCodeNumber (or some other text field) and a field (I'll call Link) which has been defined as Type=Hyperlink.

Create a form with these two fields.

Open the form and right-click on the Link field. Choose Hyperlink/Edit Hyperlink from the shortcut menu.
Jim Conrad
jconrad3@visteon.com
