Inserting digits on incoming E1

Hi all,

I've been asked if it's possible to insert digits on an incoming E1 before dial plan matching or translation tables to isolate an overlapping dial plan issue. That is to say, so that the incoming digits from this PRI are dealt with differently to the existing numbers on the router.

I know that this is possible on Meridians (on the incoming route) but never come across it on Cisco.

I'd appreciate your comnments/suggestions. Many thanks.

You can do that by using translation patterns to manipulate the incoming digits to what you would like to translate or change them into
