inserting date or time

I was reading my help file and it said that to insert the date or time into a memo or todo, press ctrl-shift-d for the date and ctrl-shift-t for the time. I have tried both and can not add a time/date stamp to my memos using the Windows Desktop. Is this a known bug in the software? I'm using version 4.2 of the software with a TX.
