Inserting ascii escape characters

I am printing checks. The printer we use has certain "security-type" fonts installed that require sending an ascii 27 as an escape character to indicate that any characters following it should be printed in the specified font.

How can I insert this into a formula?

I've no idea if it will work, but the syntax would be fairly simple, create a formula which contains:

chr(27)

-k
