Inserting Adobe Illustrator Graphic... Best Way?

My designer came up with new logos for my company and sub company but i can't seem to figure out how to insert the .ai files into my data base. I typically put all of my logos for shops we deal with into a graphics field that auto inserts itself into the collect fields when reports are printed. Any help would be gratefully appreciated! Thanks
