Is it possible to insert a subreport, have the main report and subreport linked (so the data can be matched together) without actually having the subreport run? Meaning that I run the the subreport as a main report, save the data, and then insert it as a subreport on my main report without having it requery the database when I insert it.

I hope that makes sense.

Not that I'm aware of.

If you are trying to allow for forevermore static values as lookups in a subreport, I think that you'll need to hit the database or some dat source as you go.

If the quantities are low, you can always hardcode it, which would prove faster anyway.

You can have the subreport run just once, in the Report Header. Return values as shared variables. Then you can access them again in the rest of the report without needing to run the subreport again.
