I have a GIF which i have designed which is a spinning globe. How can I insert this into my fireworks document so it retains its animation and spins round, when I insert it normally I get just the picture.
Animated GIFs become single pictures on different frames when imported to Fireworks.
On your Tabs have you tried selecting "Preview"
At the bottom of your working area do you see the 'VCR' buttons? if you click on Next you will navigate all the frames of your animation.
I'm not sure if that was helpful to you but if you need more details just post back.
good luck

If your final output is Dreamweaver then leave the first image the way it is on your Fireworks document. Export it to Dreamweaver, but make sure the animation is self contained in its own slice.
When you open the HTML code generated for Dreamweaver do one of two things.
1. Grab the name of the slice and then rename your original animation to the same name. Get rid of the one image file and replace it with the new renamed animation.
2. copy the animation to the same folder where your Dreamweaver project is and then modify the IMG SRC attribute to reflect the new name.
That should get you the animation on your HTML page.
good luck.
