Insert Visio button.dot error...

Hi All -
I uninstalled Visio5 from my system, then installed Visio Standard 2002. Everything works fine, but now I get an error every time I open excel or word that states the following:
Windows is searching for Insert Visio button.dot OR Insert Visio button.xls. I know this comes from Visio5 being integrated with office, but I don't know how to get rid of this error.

I tried the suggestion of the 2001 post & Visio 2002 doesn't have the 'Integrate with Windows' option to uncheck.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi Belynda,

You will probably find shortcuts to these files in C:\program files\microsoft office\office\startup
and
C:\program files\microsoft office\office\xlstart

If found your post when I was searching to find out what the shortcuts I found in those folders were for.
