Insert Value

A vendor is asking that a predefined field and value be added to a file. The field and value are not in the database being used. I know you can manually add a text field as a place holder but is there a way to insert a value ( e.g. the word Today ) in that field?

If this is just for export to a file, I would just add the text block with the word "Today" in it to your report on the line with the rest of the data in the place where it needs to be in the file. This should then export as a column with the rest of your data.
