INSERT to date field in MS Access

I'm helping a friend with an INSERT statement to his MS Access database. I use FoxPro so we surround our dates with curly brackets like this.

Code: 
INSERT INTO sometable (datefield) VALUES ({01/01/2001})

I'm sure that in Access it is something different. Can anyone help me ??

Thanks anyways.. I got it. I need to use the search utility on this forum more often. There's only about 20 threads on this exact subject. :)
