Hi, sorry if this has been asked already..
What i want to do is insert an pdf file as an icon in word. Now, the user does this by dragging the document icon into word. But when this happens it opens the document within word as opposed to attaching/creating the icon.
The user beside her also drags the pdf's into word and it *does* create an icon.
I have went through the insert object - create from file - ticked display as icon and yes, this does work but i can't seem to find any difference between the two machines. Is there someway you can save the settings so everytime she drags documents, it inserts them as icons?
..just thinking, is this to do with saving the settings in the global/local template? *goes to investigate*

All help/suggestions appreciated!!
