In a multipage document, I would like to change one page. I cannot find a way to insert the new page in this finished document.
How, can I do this?
Thanks
Well I am not on the full version of Acrobat 6 yet, Have you look through your Acrobat 6 help file yet? I checked through Reader6 but no luck. I would think if the option was/is in Acrobat 4 then it would be for 6 also.
Just in case you haven't found a solution yet, try this: Open the Pages tab in the far left and select the page where you want to insert the new page. Right click on that page and select Insert Pages.
I have a large pdf file (106 pages) that is a copy of a book. The only problem is that each pdf page consists of 2 actual pages of the book.
How can I break up the pdf so I have 212 pages for all 212 pages of the book, instead of 106 pages for all 212 pages?
I have Acrobat 6.01.
I've searched the help database, but haven't had any luck.
Any help/ideas are welcome
One more thing... I was able to break the file into left pages and right pages by applying a large crop to the whole document. This still leaves me with 2 documents though, which isn't acceptable.
IF the file is not a paginated book .. the spreads are (1,2) (3,4)..
this is what you do:
You have to do what you've done, crop the left, save as a new file. Crop the right save as a new file.
Next part you will need the plug-in Quite Imposing Plus, Load up Both files.
Then in Quite Imposing go to
> Shuffle Even, Odd Pages
Check off, <> 4. (Undo 3) Merge alternate pages from two documents
Option 1 (Odds from Pick the file name with the odd pages 1,3,5,7..
Option 2 (Evens from pick the file name with the even pages 2,4,6,8...
Hit ok and you will have a new file with the complete document in order.
IF, the book is paginated for booklets (Lastpage, Cover), (Secondlast page, Page 2) ...ect, this is a little more complicated. Would have to make a script with Pit-Stop pro, or use the <shuffle pages> option in quite imposing plus and create an ordering rule to get you back in order. Dont have a clear cut answer for you if its like this.
If the file is Paginated, its easier then I thought..
Open your PDF. Crop the Right side, in the crop dialog box uncheck the “Show All Boxes”, Check off “All” on page range, and the last option “Crop:” pick “Odd Pages only. Move to page two, Crop the Left side, Uncheck “Show All Boxes”, Check off “All” on page range, last option “Crop:” pick Even Pages Only”
Now you have a PDF with the first half in order, save it with its own file name.
Load up the original pdf in spreads, repeat the same process again just left side first, and right side second.
Your left with the last half in reverse order. Here you will need Quite Imposing again,
? Plug-Ins > Quite Imposing Plus > Reverse Page Order
Save as a new file, join with the other one, and you have the file back in order.
For the reversing pages, maybe there is a way of doing it automated without getting quite imposing.. not sure,
Quite Imposing Plus & Pit Stop Pro, don’t leave home without it
