Hi,

How can I insert a page break in Quark using my keypad (or for that matter through a Quark drop down menu)?

I am using QuarkXpress 8 on a Mac.

I have Googled this question and the answer is apparently
Option + Shift + Enter Key
But this does nothing when I try it, it doesn't even add a link break.

It seems like such a fundamental thing but I can't even work out how to do it through a Quark drop down menu.

Many thanks for your time,

Leao

...choose "view > invisibles" to first see what is happening...

...column breaks can be achieved by simply pressing the "enter" key on your numeric keypad...

...with auto text frames being used this will force the text after the "enter" key break to the next page, or column whichever comes first...

...showing invisibles will show you the mark used.

I worked it out. Press FUNCTION and ENTER together.

Cheers for the tips Andrew.

...not sure about the function key being required, just the enter key works for me to shift to next column...

...pressing "shift + enter" keys will move to the next linked text box (or page) instead of column if columns are involved...
