With a bit of help from searching this forum I have figured out how to dynamically link images to specific records in a table so that I can (for example) list stock items together with their associated images.

This works really well in CRXI.

I am wondering whether a simlar approach can be used to link a text file that contains additional descriptive material about the stock item, just as the picture does.

I have experimented and it doesn't seem possible, but I might be missing something? My impression is that the dynamic linking applies only to image files.

My CUT Light UFL (User Function Library) provides functions that allow a Crystal formula to do bring the content of such text files into Crystal. You then use the text interpretation formatting option in Crystal to render the text as Plain, RTF, or HTML.
