Many news sites have a RSS feed. RSS uses XML and is a way for web sites to "syndicate" their content in a standardized format that is easily accessible by other sites.
This will probably do what you want, but you'll have to read up on it. Google "RSS" for more info on this topic. Here are a couple of links that I pulled off google:
