I have a shared variable that I pass from the main report to a sub report. I have placed the formula in the main report group header 1a. Everything passes to my subreport fine which is in group header 1d, the trick I am having is I can not insert a max summary in my sub report. I need to place the summary in group header 1a. Is there a way to do this? I am just trying to keep from adding in more tables to my sub.

Thanks,
GJ

You won't be able to pass a variable from the sub to a previous section. It's unclear what is being summarized in the sub, but what you might be able to do is insert the sub again in a GH_b dedicated to this sub only (with the current GH sections moved down one (b to c, etc.), display the maximum summary in the sub report footer, and then format GHa to "underlay following sections". In the sub in GH_b, make sure you aren't affecting the calculation in GH_d (now GH_e?).
