insert into problem

how can I input an autonumerical (incremental) number in a Data Base with VBA?
I don't know how to write the INSERT INTO sentence
I don't know if I'm explaining.
table(ID,Name)
the ID is primary key and incremental

I think if you INSERT into a table with an autonumber field it will increment itself (don't insert anything into the ID field)...
