Is it possible to insert a Header into a spreadsheet vertically? Office 97... Help please.

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough... Working in Excel 97. Thanks.

OK, this is the long way around, and I have Excel 2000, but it is the only way that I know of to get the result you want. (there may be an easier way that I just don't know)

You can flip your data and thus your header and footers will be vertical. Cut the data in the spreadsheet, and click in a cell toward the bottom of your spreadsheet and click Edit, Paste special, transpose. This will paste your spredsheet vertically. Then highlight the data and go into Format, Cells and change the alignment to 90 degrees, this is so the data will be vertical as well. Hope this helps. Dawn
