insert blank spaces

I'm using Word 2003 and LJ 2420dn. Everytime I print this particular document a blank space is inserted between the characters of a word. But I only see this effect when I print. It doesn't appear on the preview screen.

And yet when I send this document to another HP printer I don't get this 'spaces' problem.

Any suggestions/hints/tips would be greatly appreciated.
