Hello, please can someone help.

I have an Access form call jobs

I have a button call btnprintjob

I also have a field on the form call jobname

On clicking the button, I would like to open a Word document called PM12 which is on the root of my c drive.
In addition I would then like to insert the contents of the field jobname into the Word document.

Please could someone give me code or an idea of how to achieve this.

Many thanks Mark

You will find a lot of examples of how to open Word doc from Access here

Once you have your word doc open, do you want to place jobname anywhere in the doc, or in a patricular place in it?

Have fun.

Yes, Ideally I would like to place it in a cell in a table, but I could work round this and just place it on a new line if that is easier

Thank you Mark

PS The table already exists in the word document

Ok thanks. I've not heard of automation before - so thanks for the pointer ;)
