Insert a variable in access97 into a bookmark in word 2000

Hi I have been working on this for a while I a variable in code in a Module and I am trying to open a word 2000 template with code and insert the information from five variables to five different bookmarks print a copy and then close word 2000. I have tryed Hyperlinks and manage to open the template and goto the bookmark but can't seem to insert the text from the variable. Any sugestions tips I have searched the Microsoft Knowledge base and tried several of there sugestions but can't seem to make it work.
P.S. I am a novice at this so my current skill level is low.
