Hello!

I need to be able to insert a company footer (list of partners) into the footer area of a black sheet. I've tried this by having a cut & paste macro (cut from another doc and paste into new one), but this does not seem to keep any formatting. Is there an easier way of doing this ??
Having it insert just before a print macro is run would be the ultimate!!

any help/advise appreciated!!!

Select your list.
Hit Insert-Autotext-New.
Type mylist or something like that.
Hit Ok.

Record a macro that opens the footer and inserts this autotext as desired. (To insert the autotext just type mylist and hit enter.) Get out of the footer and stop record.

Cut the code from this and put it about the print code in the print macro. Anne Troy

Thanks for the help.

This will need to be an option that will work with many users - it's the list of partners of a company which changes and needs to be able to be updated centrally - does this effect your answer ??

many thanks for help so far!!

Glad you asked.
Autotext can only be stored in a template and not in a document. So, you can distribute the doc as a template (dot) and have them Right-click, choose Open, then Save as and save it in their default template folder...

Otherwise, record yourself inserting that text NOT using autotext and put the whole thing in the macro. Probably best to do it this way.

:)

I'm curious why you don't already have it in the document to start out with...but I don't have to know everything. I just like to think I do. LOL Anne Troy
