You can do this a couple of ways. One is to go to insert, object, and choose the calendar control. Right click the control to customize its properties. Or if you create a calendar in Excel, then you can just link that sheet to word ( or import it) I think you can also export your Outlook calendar, and then you could import it into excel and from there link to word.
There are a couple of suggestions. Let me know if none of them help lol.

I tried your first suggestion and it works,except that it is embedding the calendar as a VB Object,cuz' when I click on it ,it opens up the VB code behind it.
All I want to do is insert a calendar in a table format ie as a table.

Don't know what version you're using so this may vary for you: Try File/New/General Templates. Find Calendar Wizard. Go through the steps. This should do it for you.
