I have a maintenance project file for planning downtime which shows a main critical path and is used by the maintenance planner. I've inserted and linked a project for mechanical work and one for electrical work which both contain standard time base maintenance work and both are used by the mechanic and electrician to add additional work. I want to save this main project and Mech/elec projects in one folder so that the different resources can work on them independently but the maintenance planner can see the overall picture.
This all works without a problem.......
However, I want to create a standard template folder containing the 3 project files and then on each maintenance day the folder can be copied and renamed but the problem is the linked projects always point back to the original folder.
Is there a way to link the projects so that it works off a root folder like you can with web pages i.e. using ..\mechproject? So that each time the folder is copied and pasted it only looks in that folder for the links?
thanks in advance,
GPM
