Inquire return wrong type of library

Hi !
This is ours infrastructure : Networker server 7.3 SP4 on AIX 5.3 ML 5 connect to a stack of 2 library HP MSL6060.


At each reboot of the Networker server, in Networker configuration robotics is disable..

I have to tape the 'cfgmgr' command to discover device ("lus") and to go into configuration for enable the jukebox.

when i do an inquire, the command show a different robotics : an MSL5000 instead of MSL6060 (like other infrastructure we manage)

Somebody have an Idea ?
scsi driver problem ? (Networker is configure whith "standard scsi jukebox")

check your library with sjirdtag

Is your Library fc attached ?

For me it looks like there is no "mapping" from FC to scsi-ids at boot time. With solaris you have to maintain the st.conf file for this, i do not know the analogon with aix.

Yes it's a library FS attached but on a specific backup SAN.


After diagnose of the library, the problem come from her ..

I think a bad firmware in it ..

Incident closed ..
