Inputting multiple values for a prompt in Access 1

Hi,

I'm new to Access. I have a query with a prompt which users can enter only value. What function can I use so that the user can enter multiple values?
I tried the "In" function but it doesn't work.
This is what I have now prompting user for a single value.
"WHERE reference =[Please enter code]"

when you say prompt, do you mean the automatic input popup box that comes up when you run the query?

if so, then you can't really do much with it.

what you want to do is to reference this to a control on a form, either a text box, list box or combo box...

so in the sql you'd have: "... where ref IN forms![frmName]![ControlName]"

remember, if you want to use the IN function, the syntax you have to pass would be: 'val,val,val,val'
