Input Type=File ... on the MAC

On an intranet site I need the users to be able to select a file. I am using a Form of Type File which works fine on the PC but I'm having trouble with the MAC's. When the user selects a file the server is not part of the file path returned to the browser and :'s are in place of the \. The user then has to add the server and correct the :'s before they can continue. This happens with Netscape and IE on the MACs.
