Input trays 2 empties and printer uses tray 3

Anybody know how to stop an HP9000 printer from taking paper from another input tray when the one it is suppose to take paper from empties. In sush a case we would like it to stop printing.

Plse help

Im not sure of the exact wordage but you want to "lock" the 3rd tray to keep it out of the "auto tray switching" sequence. Sometimes these settings are made on the printer (especially if its an MFP but look in the driver properties first.

Try changing the tray you don't want to feed, to a different paper type via the control panel.
