input mask displaying

On a form, there is a field with the input mask "99/99/00", placeholder of "_", when a user clicks in the field, it will show "__/__/__".

Is it possible to make it show "dd/mm/yy"?

Thanks for any help.

You are asking to show a string variable in a date variable position - not good!!! Show the instructions in the validaation text or labels.
