I'm able to backup single mailboxes fine if I enter MSEXCH:MB/User in the save set box. I created a file named bricklevel.txt to test the input file option. I saved the file to c:\program files\nsr\bin. In the remote tab for the client I have the backup command nsrxchsv.exe -I bricklevel.txt. All savesets report as successfull, but one line reads: exch-server:MSEXCH:MB Error opening file: bricklevel.txt. Any suggestions on how to make this work?? Thanks.

Hi!

Maby a stupid question but did you store the input file on the client?

It's been a while since I've tried. I've all but forgotten about it and just did a full IS and DS backup. Do you have the brick level solution implemented, and if so, how is it configured??

Thanks.

Hi

First of all you have to change the account on networker remote exec service to a account that have admin priv. in exchange. Then you set up a new client in networker.
The client that does the brick level backup must not be run at the same time as the client running IS and DS backup.
Also you can´t do a brick level backup only you must do IS and DS backup also.
As save set use MSEXCH:MB/User and on the remote command use nsrxchsv or as you described use MSEXCH:MB and on the remote tab use nsrxchsv -I "c:\\files\\inbut.txt" use dubble slash to get networker to read path correct.
and set use remote user and password to the account you used on the networker service.

I agree with ulsj, these are the methods to get the exchange BSM to work at mailbox level for all mailboxes.
Make sure you are still doing an IS and DS backup though, for disaster recovery.
