InoculateIT 7.0 Any comments??

Hi,
I'm looking at Inoculate IT 7.0. Currently running 4.53 . I just want to open a thread to see if anyone has anything to say about 7.0 - I havent noticed any issues and have set up a test domain to test the product. All seems fine - but I am aprehensive as it is such a new release. Any comments appreciated.

I've been working with Inculan since 4.53. And have provied support for that version all the way through version 6. Currently we are planning an upgrade to version 7. It seems to be the case that instead of looking at it as a new version or release of software, see it as version 6 with simply more enhancments and less patches to apply.

I've been to many meetings with CA and thier philosophy seems to be that thier products can always use improvement rather than replacement.

When i first moved from version 4.53 to 6 though, it was a bit confusing. But if you are studious and willing to learn "new ways of doing familiar things", the transition should be smooth and actually very exciting considering all the wonderful features ca has added to v.7.

We have been using InoculateIT since version 4.53 before upgrading to 6.0. I have just concluded a two week testing of the eTrust 7.0. It is surely a wise decision to go for the latest version if you are upgrading, that way you dont have to repeat the process any time soon. Otherwise, if you already have InoculateIT 6.0, I would have tell you to forget about it. From my testing, there are not much security related benefits in ver 7.0 versus 6.0. Most of the improvements are on enterprise management. Though there is something that complement gateway/firewall, hey, if you dont have a good firewall, eTrust 7 is not going to make fix that for you.
