I've tried about everything. Changed ftpsite, put in my firewall, ...

No results, i keep on getting the following message :

The last part of the message:
"550 cannot connect to 10.41.0.11: 59104 - timed out"
is a private IP address. Is this what you want?

To load definitions from the internet you need to point to "ftpav.ca.com". Check the ftp settings tab in AutoDownload Manager.

Hi Jim,

the 10.41.0.11 is the lan adress of the server running inoculate. There is a firewall on 10.41.0.1. But putting that into the settings has no result either.

I have tried also from the ftpav.ca.com site.

I personally think all this have to do with the firewall blocking those (random) ports used by the autodownload manager. What is your opninion ?

Cheers,
Hans

Hans,

You are probably correct.
I am not finding any definitive info on this.
But I will keep looking.

I had problems keeping 4.53 running especially realmon. So since we have a site licence i upgraded to Etrust 6.0. This product is great( about the only CA product that is.) I have had only one issue with a computer not updateing(out of over 400 clients) I think this is an OS problem though.
I would recommend it to anyone. However it is still a CA product and that is its only downside.

Thanks

G'day all,

You will need to check the CA website for patches.
The link I have provided below will take you to them.

The patch you want is QO57720 in the "General update" area. You will need the Cumulative Fix 0405 patch before it though.

Hope this helps.

Jeremy

Deathtoll,

Did you check the date on the original thread? CA doesn't even provide updates or support for 4.53 anymore.
