I approached CAI about this problem. <br>

Their only "helpfull" suggestion was to use a pre-flight/post-flight command to Stop/Re-start Innoculan during the backup process.<br>

What a kludge!<br>

I haven't been able to find any other solution.<br>

Thanks, yes that is what I was doing. This last weekend I <br>
configured Inoculan to scan incoming files only. That <br>
fixes the slow backup problem. We can live with incoming <br>
scans only. If you can too then try it out.<br>
