I am running InoculaIT 4.5 on a Novell 5.1 server. I am on build 205 (SP4). I am trying to update the viris sig from the CA website. When i then restart inoculan with ISTART4 all the NLM's run ok apart from INOCUCMD.NLM which then causes all the others to unload. The error message i get is as follows-

Error Initializing InoculateIT, 0x20.0.0
INOCUCMD.NLM reported a critical error. No more modules will be loaded.
InoculateIT is not loaded.

Any ideas???

I had this same problem and I took care of it today in 3 simple steps (the last one may have solved it on its own, but the other 2 were worth while):

1. First I updated to sp4 downloaded from CAI.com (painless)

2. Then I followed the directions from here by downloading a slightly newer version of the inocucmd.nlm and renaming my current file in the system folder and replacing it with this one (relatively painless).

3. Then I updated the signatures (36.38) making sure to replace virsig.dat in the inoculan directory as will as avengine.nlm in the system folder. I think that avengine.nlm is the one that fixed it, but I am not positive and the other two steps were beneficial.

Thx for the post. Fixed my problem too. Didn't have to do step #2.... only did #1 and #3. Was the AVENGINE.NLM as you suspected... was out of sync.

Computer Associates keep giving us bad updates but I followed these steps and it did the trick. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. KFP
