Inlude Proxy info in url 1

I have seen this done before but cannot remember where. What is needed to include Proxy information into a url?

What is it you want to include in the URL?

If it is the port number then you have

http://www.mydomain.com:8080

8080 can be changed to whatever port you need to connect to....

I have to use a proxy to get out to the internet from my office, however, I also have access to more than 1 corporate Intranets, each uses different proxy settings. I want to include the different proxy settings in the link/url included on some of my web pages.

If you mean a userid and password for the proxy server, you can do it like this:

http://userid:password@www.mydomain.com
