Hi Guys,

I'm trying to setup a H.323 Trunk between point A (IPLU with address 192.168.1.1) and point B (IPLU with address 192.168.1.2) these devices can ping each other the network so there are no issues there. I have also purchased the following licenses:

1 FAL104707 MD IP teleph interf SW key 1 interf
32 FAL1042179 MD IP trunk SW key 1 port
32 FAL1043611 MD IP Networking Enhanced Services SW key 1 port

Now, the issues is the parameters that go these commands for setting up the H.323 Route. Specifically,
NANSI,ROCAI,RODAI,RIANI,RODDI,ROEQI commands.

I have the ALEX documentation but this procedure has not been explained clearly. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Grinch

Hi, there is many ways to set up such a route, but you can try this:
ROCAI:ROU=x,SIG=011111100091,SERV=0110000007,SEL=0110000000000010,TRAF=03xxxxxx,TRM=6,BCAP=001100;

RODAI:ROU=x,TYPE=TL65,VARC=00000001,VARI=00000011,VARO=00000000;

RINII:BPOS=x-x-xx,GRP=1,IP=192.168.1.1,MASK=x.x.x.x[,ROUTER=x.x.x.x][,ETHCNF=x];

RIANI:ROU=x,GRP=1,IP=192.168.1.2,LROUID="NodeA",RROUID="NodeB"[,CODECS= ];

RODDI:DEST=xx,ROU=x,IP=192.168.1.2,SRT=x,RROUID="NodeB",ADC=0626100000000050006000000;

ROEQI:ROU=x,TRU=x-x[,IP=192.168.1.2];

Hi ! Mundus,
I also want to test IP trunking between MDs (TSW sp2) using ELU 32.I have license.
a) Can I use ELU 32 or it is possible with IPLU only ?
b) Same command structure will be used as you mentioned ?
c) Please give an idea about compression
d) Any changes neeed to be made with Cisco 3845 ?

Thanks in advance !

you can use both, but I recommend IPLU.
b) Same command structure will be used as you mentioned ?
yes.
c) Please give an idea about compression
I prefer G.711 but !. Look alsp at ASPAP PARNUM 236.
d) Any changes neeed to be made with Cisco 3845 ?
VARC d8=0 in RODAI, ADC d4=0 in RODDI, no "RROUID" parameter, and adjust ASPAP PARNUM 60 and/or 74.

Thanks mundus !
Will give you feedback. I have arranged IPLU.Before I proceed this weekend
Clarifications:
1)You said no PROUID paramaeter in both commands RIANI and RODDI, but LROUID has to be there in RIANI
2)My IP will be only in RINII command. Rest of the commands will have other MD IP which is in a different subnet.
3) The cable from IPLU will be a straight not crossed as being used for IP extensions
4) At Rrmote MD I am going to initiate one extension which will be my ED.
So according to my understanding call will be initiated from my MD will pass on IP virtual trunk through data network and will land at remote end router which will deliver it to iplu to ring that extension.
I want to replace all exhisting E-1s with H323. If it is successfull then 90% credit will be yours :)

It works great! Now, the only issue I'm having is how to re-route extensions over this trunk. Both PBX's are connected to a PSTN in their respective zone. To allow for more flexibility, I would like for users in Zone A to have a local PSTN number in Zone B and vice versa. How do I go about doing this? I have a PSTN extension 219 in PBX A that I am try to send over route the trunk (route 10) to extension 139 on PBX B. Below are the relevant interrogation commands.

PBX A:
roddp:dest=13;
DEST DRN ROU CHO CUST ADC TRC SRT NUMACK PRE

13 10 00050000000002500000000000 0 1 0

<?RODAP:ROU=10;
ROUTE DATA

ROU TYPE VARC VARI VARO FILTER

10 TL65 H'00000001 H'00000011 H'00000000 NO

<?ROCAP:ROU=10;
ROUTE CATEGORY DATA

ROU SEL TRM SERV NODG DIST DISL TRAF SIG BCAP

10 0110000000000010 6 0110000007 0 30 128 03151515 011111100091 001100

PBX B = IDENTICAL TO PBX A. I can successfully make calls to PBX extensions as well as the PSTN from both PBX's. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have tried those commands in my exchange but no result. My IP is 10.155.12.26 and remote IP is 10.155.108.200. I have initiated 2 trunks by:
roeqi:rou=3,tru=2-1&&2-2,ip=10.155.108.200; but no joy !
What changes I have to make calls to other extension at remote end.
Hi! Grinchstyle, Can you please shed some light step by step of your achievment.

Regards !

Hello,

I have just finished configuring an IP Trunk betwwen two of my office locations. When I called through the trunk I received 'CONGESTION' as message on the digital phone. the calls cannot go through.

Can anyone assist to figure out the likely problem and give a solution?

Thank you.

Check that trunks are assigned in lim where you have ELU32/IPLU board.
