I would like to be able to autmoate the steps associated with initilzing, and formatting a drive. Formatting is easy but the device I am using is requiring to be initialized before formatting, or at least that what the admin tool on XP is telling me. IS there a DOs command for this?

Here are all the undocumented cmd's for fdisk, this can be done but only if your HD's are the same size or you are creating a partition of less size than maximum.

See the link and include the cmd's you need in a batch file

No Fdisk for XP, I did find diskpart.exe, looks like it will do what I need.

THanks for the response

Sorry, You asked for a DOS cmd, not an XP GUI cmd
