Initialization of UDA failed -- NLS-F-ENVAR COGNLSTAB variable not set

Hello out there,

I've tried scripting COGNOS Impromptu. When deploying the
Software all seems to be okay, but when I try to run COGNOS
the following error occures ...

"Initialization of UDA failed.
NLS-F-ENVAR, The COGNLSTAB variable is not set."

At the PC where I scripted the Software everything is running. May someone tell me what I forgot to fill into
my script?

I've got the same problem here with an install of Impromptu 7.1. If the user has administrative rights to the computer, Impromptu runs fine. If not, they get the same error you reported above.

I'm trying to run down the answer now.

Found our issue. We had backed up the file cer3.ini before the reinstallation in order to avoid having to recreate changes to the file. It had been placed on the installers desktop and then copied back after the installation. The end users had NO permissions to the file. After permissions were reapplied everything worked fine.
