I have SBS 2003 and a recently added user with full rights to a particular directory is having problems accessing certain documnets within sub directories. Many Documnets he can access in the same directory and others he cannot. When looking on the server for some reason certain documents do not show him to have rights. Any ideas ?

Did you "Replace permission entries on all child objects with entries shown here that apply to child objects"? This setting is on the security tab of the directory, then the advanced button.

One more thing you can look at is whether you have set users the ability to set permissions on folders, sub-folders, and files. Even if the user is able to create folders and files, they should not set permissions. That should be your job, as users seem to mess up permissions, as I am sure you are aware of at this stage....
