Ingnoring an event happening twic on a day

I am trying to count how many times someomne uses a piece of equipment each week. As the person can accidently scan in twice on a day I need to exclude the second scan of the day, but cannot seem to use running totals to stop this or use a counter.


Exmaple Data where I want to find how many times equipment type 1 has been used

Date Equipment Type Running total
25 oct 1 1
25 oct 2
26 oct 1 2
26 oct 2
27 oct 1 3
27 oct 1 ignoreds as second time today
27 oct 2

This is for one person but I will have many people.

If you have an outer group on person, you can do a distinctcount on date (assuming this is a date; otherwise convert to a date), evaluate using a formula:

equipment = 1

Reset on change of group: person.
