I have an internal Infrared Device on my laptop and it doesn't appear in the Network Connections panel. It was originally disabled from the BIOS but i fixed that, and if you open up the wireless connections properties box it appears a a device, it even works its just it doesn't show up in Network Connections! shuold it appear there and if so how can i get it to do so because configuring it the long way round, and having to chage configurations is getting very laborious.

Thanks ahead

It does not show as a network connection. Depending on the device, it may show up as a Mobile Device when connected in My Computer.

Once the device is enabled, it will start up automatically when a device is within range and connecting.

For example, on my PDA, I need to place it within range, then turn on the PDA's IR connection and XP kicks in automatically. The same works with my nokia cell.
