I have created an ad hoc that consists of three separate queries.
Query 1 at the highest level, just retrieves dates docs were received between A and B dates, and the type of Doc.
Query 2, same, plus collects "Cutoff Date" logic based on various cycles that the doc goes through (Group 1 handles it, passes it to Group 2 to review, Group 2 sends it back to Group 1, and so on), so there are multiple dates involved.
Query 3, same as 1, plus collects "Cutoff Date" logic with logic that is slightly different to that in Query 2.
So, let's say I create query 2 on its own. I build numerous variables to define calculations and percentages based on performance of people reviewing docs. All is well, we achieve our results.
Now I create query 3 and a second, separate, report and so now we have "Cutoff Date" in both queries, with slightly different logic.
I link the queries by creating a dimension on the doc submission number (unique).
Now, we have errors. I'm thinking it must not be possible to link these queries because there is a contention with the Cutoff Date logic, it's not unique, is that correct? I've tried creating two separate cutoff dates in the separate Queries 2 and 3, and then relating them to each other, but that also caused errors.
Also, when I test Query 2, and Query 1 (the higher level logic that collects results for all docs that are not restricted by query logic at all), I receive other errors.
Would you mind advising how we should handle such a report and the relationships involved?
Thanks,
Helen
