I have an inforstar vx2 voice messaging system that has a greetings when the phones are on night and allows the caller to select the individual and the call is transferred to his extension. We need to change this message and we have no idea?

This can get a little tricky. There are several ways in the VX2 and IDS to accomplish Night directions. Probably if all lines go to this greeting it 1 of 2 ways. 1st listen to system greetings 0001-0005(or higher) to find the greeting. If you have a VM screen its much easier. If you find it OK. 2nd If you can determine which extension the lines ring to at night, follow the trail and it will lead to the mailbox. If you have an operator CRT & know how to access programming,it won't take long if you put the system in night mode, watch "C" screen then look at the "G" screen it should show you the mailbox. If not, good luck. Most of the xtone stuff can be accessed remotely. Let me know

You need to login to the voucemail. Goto "I" CCR(custom call routing) screen. Use the F9(decrement and F10(increment) to scroll through pages. You are looking for a starting point for your night greeting.Hopefully the programer labeled it for you.
Example: MAILBOX [exc 0000001] PLAYING GREETING # [2]

You then log into system admin mailbox to change this greeting.

Email me and I can send you some helpful information.
