Hello,

I have an SCO box with Informix 7.2. Using dbaccess and simple sql statements I manage to retrieve reports. What I would like is to includce in the SQL statements, querries to an MS SQL Server located on another box. My guess is some sort of ODBC but I could be wrong.

For example, I can easily querry 2 tables in Informix in the same SQL statement. How would I go about including a table in that querry on SQL Server. Has anybody got any ideas?

Hi:

I'm not an ODBC nor a SQL server expert, but I work with people who are. I don't think it's possible to query informix and SQL Server in the same select.

Howevery, using the SQL server DTS utility, you might be able to push data to an informix table and vise-versa.

Regards,

Ed
