Hello All,

I'm really new to this Informix stuff, so you will all have to bear with me. I have just started a new job and they use MS Access as a front end to query an Informix SE database. The problem that I/we are having is that when we set a password in the administrative utility, SetNet32, and set the value for password to "Prompt for password at runtime", the user is not prompted for a password, and thus they cannot make any queries, getting a time out error from the database driver.

I have gone into SetNet and the ODBC settings in Windows 2000 and set passwords, and it still doesn't ask for a password authentication....anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
