Informix ODBC stops working after MS update KB832483 1

I Applied the Microsoft Update KB832482 to my XP Pro PC and have been unable to make any ODBC connections to Informix databases since.
Error reported is: Key Violation [INTERSOLV][ODBC Informix driver][Informix]Attempt to connect to database server (mpx) failed. (BDE Error 13059 , Server error -908)
[INTERSOLV][ODBC Informix driver][Informix]Connection refused. (BDE Error 13059, Server error 61)

I have so far tried removing the IBM ODBC software and going back to the original MS Intersolv, re-installing IBM Client ODBC, using regedt32 to give full permissions to everything to do with software and users, but am no further ahead. Other ODBC connections like access seem OK.

Any suggestions to make this work greatfully received

This patch is applied on my XP boxes and I've not discovered any problem with the ODBC driver for informix I use (from Esker: Tun ODBC).
 
Thanks for the response. No I haven't fixed the problem yet but it does indicate where I might start... perhaps a reload of my XP Software.. as perhaps there is some other underlying problem.
