Informix backup problem

Hi:
I have a NW server 7.1.2 runing on Solaris 9 and a NW client runing Solaris 9 and Informix 9.40.
I have promlem to backup Informix database, the detail of savegrp is:

* v890-9:INFORMIX:/k12d3se_shm Could not connect to jobs daemon.20164:nsrifmx:Failed to Initialize a session for backup.
* v890-9:INFORMIX:/k12d3se_shm 20123:nsrifmx:Backup operation failed.

v890-9:INFORMIX:/k12d3se_shm 06/02/08 22:32:09 nsrexec: nsrexecd on v890-9 is unavailable. Using rsh instead
v890-9:INFORMIX:/k12d3se_shm Could not connect to jobs daemon.20164:nsrifmx:Failed to Initialize a session for backup.
* v890-9:INFORMIX:/k12d3se_shm 20123:nsrifmx:Backup operation failed.

the service nsrexecd is running on the client.

any idea?

I am not sure what the message refers to. There is the nsrjobd running on the NW server but this has been introduced with NW 7.3. Are you running a NW client version 7.3 or higher? - If so this will not work - the server must always have the latest revision, compared with the client ones.
