information store crashes

When I try to back up individual mailboxes with backup exec 8.6 the information store crashes. The error message in backup exec says it was because of corrupted mail. It works fine when I backup the entire database, it just doesn't like the individual mailboxes

Does it do that right away, or does it bomb out on a specific mailbox every time. If you can tell from the log or from Restore Selections if it is dying on the same mailbox every time, then export that mailbox to .pst then delete the mailbox. Then recreate mailbox and import mail from .pst file. I fixed one of those in this manner. It boils down to corruption in the database either logical or physical.
