While using finger command on sco openserver 5.0.5 the last column shows "where". What exactly this column represents and from which configuration file the utility takes the data for displaying it?

Anyone having any clue?

Do a man finger and there is some explanation of the output in the preamble. Basically the where is the terminal name (on our systems this usually prints the IP address of the terminal running a session). The man page also includes an explanation of which files finger uses to garner the information. HTH.
